Uganda Martyrs’ Day Celebrations 2024

CELEBRATING IN SOLIDARITY WITH GRATITUDE

Dear Brethren,

First, we give thanks to the Lord who enabled us to celebrate the feast of the Uganda Martyrs led by Bishop Serverus Jjumba, the Ordinary of Masaka Diocese, Uganda on 29.6.24 at St. Mary’s and St. Michael’s, Shadwell. Understandably, there were several challenges experienced in the preparation due to the change of venue because of refurbishment work at St. Anthony’s in Forest Gate! So we had to find an alternative venue to suit our celebration. Please bear with the situation. In the end we had memorable celebrations. Thanks to all of you for your understanding, resilience, involvement, contributions, sacrifices and support in various ways. Our pictures give us a snapshot of the celebrations. We now have the task to continue building up our capacity so that we may keep growing in unity and all ways possible. May God bless you all and have a restful, prayerful and rewarding summer break.
